SWL Report from Marcel Strauch (DE6MSW) German.

Here is the EQSL SWL report from Marcel Strauch DE6MSW from German about received my signal. I was having QSO with Vong XX9LT from Macao, China that time. I am portable using Yaesu FT-897D with Yaesu ATAS120A mobile antenna. 30 watt transmission SSB mode. Feels so good that my weak signal still can be heard in German.

Thank you for the SWL report. Marcel.

AO-51 and 6m band

Worked = 9W6ZUL
OSCAR SAT = AO-51
QTR = 0814 UTC
Date = 5/11/2010
Satellite path = Philipine pass.
Setup = FT60R 5Watt power

But today AO-51 have so many interference from no callsign transmissions on the uplink path and due to that, I unable to confirm contact with JA6PD. Thank you 9W6ZUL for the audio recording that day and confirm that JA6PD heard my callsign. Unfortunately I can't get his call for the second time to confirm contact.

6m band made CQs at 50.100MHz USB
Band Condition = No activities.
Setup = FT-897D + ATAS120A
QTH = 2100 feet above sea level at Mount Silam.

Other band too condition bad cause of too great of broadcasting RF effects the operation.

Thank you.

53rd JOTA 2010

JOTA(Jamboree On The Air) which it the scouts event that will takes place on the 16 to 17 October.

In Sabah there will be two places that JOTA event will be held. Namely Kudat and Tawau.

Band that the JOTA event will be using is all the Amateur Radio Band. From Tawau respectively, they will be basically on HF bands, echolink and thru 9M4RBK via Tawau linking to connect to Kudat site.
Hams in Lahad Datu will be monitoring using echolink to whom that use mainly HT and for those have better setup can follow the event thru 9M4RBK(one of the Sabah's main repeater up at Laban Rata, Mount Kinabalu.) and over the HF band.
Good luck from 9M6WST
